John Robis

John Robis founded Exterior Technologies Group in 2004 with a vision to meet the growing demand for high-performance exterior cladding across Canada. His career began in 1984 with significant roles at industry leaders Kawneer, HH Robertson, and Vicwest.

His passion was sparked during his tenure as Vice President of Architectural Products at VicWest, where he saw the increasing need for durable and sustainable cladding solutions. Under his leadership, ETG has grown from zero sales to multi-million dollar annual revenues.

ETG is also led by co-principal Daniel — based in Montreal, bilingual French/English, with 30+ years in the building envelope sector covering Quebec and Eastern Ontario.

$65M Canoe Landing Campus completed — three L-shaped buildings clad in 6mm ALPOLIC ACP via Revit BIM workflow.
