Favemanc is the architectural facing brand of the Gresmanc Group, Spain's leading manufacturer of extruded clinker ceramics. The result is a family of terracotta cladding products that combine the warmth and permanence of fired ceramic with the engineered precision of a contemporary rainscreen.
Extruded clinker is fundamentally different from compressed terracotta or porcelain tile. The clay is pressed through a die at high pressure, producing dense profiles with a hollow honeycomb core — this is what gives Favemanc panels their strength-to-weight ratio. The panels are then fired at over 1,150°C, vitrifying the body and locking in colour permanently.
Because colour is in the clay itself — not a glaze, paint, or coating — Favemanc panels are UV-stable, freeze-thaw resistant, and entirely maintenance-free. The honeycomb core also provides natural thermal insulation properties and reduces the panel's installed weight by approximately 30% compared to solid terracotta of equivalent dimensions.
The Favemanc range covers three primary system families: flat rainscreen panels for vertical façades; baguette and brise-soleil profiles for solar shading, screening, and sculptural detailing; and ceramic sunscreen louver systems for full-height façade treatments. All three families can be combined within a single project to create dimensional, dynamic envelopes.
