Zinc is the only architectural metal that repairs itself. Exposed to the atmosphere, it forms a self-passivating layer of zinc carbonate — a continuous protective skin that heals scratches and isolates the underlying material from corrosion. The result is a façade that requires effectively no maintenance for more than a century, while developing the soft, mineral tonality that makes zinc one of the most recognizable materials in contemporary architecture.
elZinc takes that material logic further. Its rolling process holds the alloy to 99.99% purity with controlled additions of titanium and copper, producing a metal that forms cleanly, takes a precise seam, and ages predictably across climates.
